Creating a Comprehensive Wedding Planner List

Important Items for a Wedding Planner List

For a bride and groom who wish to plan their wedding, a complete wedding planner list can be helpful in ensuring everything is coordinated for the big day. Great tools to help make this wedding planner list are websites especially designed to account for all the details of the wedding. There are even some free sites that offer this service at no charge.  Other items to consider for a list are marriage laws, reception needs, ceremony needs, guest lists, bridal party events, and the all important budget.

Marriage Laws

Marriage laws are different in every state, and should be researched on a local level. All states require a marriage license for a marriage to be considered legally binding, and some states still require blood testing prior to being issued a marriage license.  Also the bride’s name change usually cannot be completed until after the marriage license has been signed by the person performing the wedding.

Great Wedding Invitations

Tuesday 11 August 2009 @ 8:58 pm

Sorting out your wedding invitations can be a stressful time for many people as it becomes difficult to decide who should and who shouldn’t come to your wedding.

These decisions are often determined by your finances where it is just not practical to invite everybody you would like to come to your wedding and obviously this causes concern over whether you will be offending people by not inviting them.

The reality of the matter is there are only a limited number of people that you will be able to invite and they should be your friends and family that are closest to you.

These are the people who you associate with throughout the year rather than those you feel obliged to invite whether you have seen them in the last 12 months not.

create a Wedding Checklist

Tuesday 11 August 2009 @ 8:52 pm

One of the first things you should do once you decide you are getting married is to create a checklist of all the things that you think are necessary to create a smooth running event where all your needs will be met.

You will be quite surprised as you start writing out your checklist how it will grow and grow over the weeks and months as you move towards your wedding and getting additional input from your partner and other people will help you realize everything that is required.

Rather than trying to go into too much detail right from the start it is best to begin your checklist with the most important items and then go into more depth on your list as you think more and more about those items.

So you would start your list of the basic headings of; dress, flowers, reception, guests.

Synthetic Diamonds

Friday 2 January 2009 @ 4:06 pm

The first synthetic diamonds were produced
by General Electric in 1954. A synthetic
diamond is basically a rock that has the
durability, refractive index and hardness of
a natural diamond – but it is made by man.
A synthetic diamond should not be
confused with stimulant diamonds, such as
glass, cubic zirconia, or moissanite.

Although the technology for synthetic
diamonds came into play in 1954, no
synthetic diamonds were ever seen on the
market until the 1990’s. This was due to the
fact that it took many years for General
Electric to produce a synthetic diamond that
could compare with the quality of a natural
diamond – and when they figured out how to
do it, they found that it cost more to produce
a synthetic diamond than it did to mine and
cut natural diamonds.

El Reno Field Trip

Thursday 18 December 2008 @ 11:49 am

El Reno is situated at the intersection of two historic highways, the Chisholm Trail or Highway 81 and the nostalgic Route 66, in the center of the Canadian River Valley.  Although El Reno was not chartered until 1889, the beginning of the place and its surrounding area was much earlier. El Reno boasts of rich historic structure, and in the city limits can be found eleven properties and two areas listed on the National Register of Historic Places, on top of an incredible inventory of historic homes.

For those planning an El Reno field trip, there are some great attractions that features both historic and educational places to see and learn. Starting off with the El Reno Heritage Mural that is located at the corner of Woodstone and Bickford streets in El Reno, the mural commemorates the rich legacy of El Reno, Canadian County and Western Oklahoma.  The mural is one-hundred-eight feet and is fifteen feet above the ground; it was specially made in April of 1980 by Ok Federal Savings and Loan Association and was painted by Charles Beecham, an El Reno artist.  On the 11th of October 1980, the painting was completed.  Other El Reno field trip places to see include:

Wedding Bands: Go for Platinum!

Wednesday 17 December 2008 @ 11:04 am

Platinum has long been known as a durable type of metal.  However, unlike gold and silver, platinum is an extremely rare luster metal that can only be found in certain areas in the world.   It is known for being long lasting, especially those that are designed with the purest form, and it is for this reason basically that platinum is now often valued for wedding bands.

Platinum wedding bands are by far the most popular and most valued type of wedding rings in today’s fast-paced world.   They are valued that much because of the high quality they offer, as well as for a number of designs that can be made with the pieces.  You can find the platinum bands in styles of Greek Key, Celtic Knot, Etruscan, and engraved; four of the most common kinds.  They may vary in the number of carats though, then making the task of choosing the right platinum wedding bands an important move to take.

Historic Palm Springs Hotels

Monday 8 December 2008 @ 11:31 am

Palm Springs throughout the years has been known as a sun-drenched resort escape, studded with excellent golf courses, and marvelous historic structures, which in one way or another have contributed to its being a favorite tourist destination.  Celebrities have taken part in Palm Springs’ history during its first boom in the 1920’s, until now the famous Spanish Mediterranean architecture is still on display.  The 50’s bought another tourist bang to the place and much of the mode and décor remnants are fondly evocative for that missing period.

Some of the best places to find “what was” are the historic Palm Springs hotels that have preserved its meaningful past to be enjoyed by the various ranging tourists including spring breakers, baby boomers, and first time visitors.  The retro-kitsch hotels almost bring back the times of Liberace, Sinatra, and Elvis, who once made this desert paradise a swinging place.

Getting To La Jolla

Tuesday 2 December 2008 @ 11:35 am

La Jolla, located in California, is a 20 minute
drive from downtown San Diego by going Interstate
5 north.  Take the exit at Ardath Road, eventually
Ardath Road will become Torrey Pines Road.  Continue
west on this road, and you’ll reach the village
when you see Prospect Place.  Turn right on Prospect
Place and you’ll enter the heart of La Jolla.

On average, around 7,000 people will visit La Jolla
every day.  With so many people coming to such a
small place, you can almost bet that finding a
parking place is a chore.  There isn’t any parking
meters, although many of the streets closest to the
water do have one hour time limits.  You can go
a little farther out for two hour parking, although
you’ll have to observe the time limits.  Even in
off season, parking enforcement is really enforced
here.
